When you come to church at 9 a.m. you can be yourself. Some people like to dress up. Some people don't. It doesn't matter. We want you to feel free to be yourself and connect with God in a way that makes sense for you. When the service starts, you can sing along with our worship team or you can just enjoy the music. Much of the music we use was written in the past ten to twenty years but we do use some classic hymns. Our musicians love to worship God and use their instruments, whether drums,
guitars or voices, to praise God. Our style of leadership is informal and we hope that helps everyone relax. Whether someone has come to

church all their life or run from the church most of their life, this is a place where all of us can honestly ask questions and seek God for answers. Week by week, we try to connect the heartbeat of the Bible with the heartbeat of everyday life. When we gather for worship, we aren't people who are perfect or have all the answers. We are people who genuinely want to follow Jesus Christ and connect with other people who are trying to do the same. Along the way, we love to have fun and find new ways to bring the Bible to life or pray or communicate Jesus' message for us. We use lots of computer images, videos, skits, and simple ways to get involved and not just be a spectator. We'd love to have you join us. We have nursery care and an exciting children's program for ages 3-12.

| Sunday Service: Blended 10:45 a.m. |
When you come to church at 10:45 a.m. you will be warmly welcome by a rich and diverse group of people who love God and love people. Early on in each service we have a time of greeting and it usually goes on so long that we have to ask people to stop greeting and return to their seats. In this service we love to sing! Every Sunday there is a rich collection of classic hymns and newer music from the modern era that is blended together in a fresh way. The grand piano is our primary instrument but we sometimes have a organist, a violinist and vocal teams who give leadership. The atmosphere is reverent but informal enough that everyone can feel comfortable as they seek to hear God's message and respond to Jesus Christ. We |
emphasize Biblical preaching that applies to everyday life and practical Christian living. The style of worship is "traditional" in that it resembles what baby boomers grew up with but "blended" in the sense that new approaches to worship are incorporated. We have nursery care and a children's program with ages 3-10 in one class. This experience begins with a "children's time" that connects with the kids, and if truth be told, most of the adults as well. We'd love to have you join us. St. John is a vibrant community of faith with great worship Sunday by Sunday.
